My Community is focusing the bulk of its cultural mapping efforts on Tanglin Halt. The 1960s estate will soon have to make way for the government’s Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme. This ongoing cultural mapping exercise requires volunteers to fan out across the estate, block by block, to study and document interactions which have taken place over the decades in the quaint estate. The aim? To piece together an interactive map filled with stories and photos from residents as well as 360-degree images and videos of the interior of some of the neighbourhood’s old flats.
