ALBA Group Asia has been active in the waste management and recycling industry in Asia for more than 20 years. ALBA is the Producer Responsibility Scheme operator appointed by NEA to collect E-Waste items in Singapore for proper recycling. They have more than 850 collection points islandwide, spanning across town centres, major shopping malls, retailers, government buildings and residential areas.

Please meet at Tuas Crescent MRT Station Exit B (Street Level). A bus will ferry participants to and fro the site.

TICKET PRICE (excluding Eventbrite service fee): $20

All proceeds will go to My Community to sustain the costs of running the tours.

Who you will meet

Meet Sustainability Executive Jason Goh, who is in charge of ALBA E-Waste’s outreach for schools and communities. Inspired by Alba’s efforts to promote recycling around the world, Jason now conducts recycling talks, events, learning journeys, collaborations, school projects, and more to share about his sustainability journey in Singapore.

 


 

More Details

Who should come?

  • Everyone is welcome to participate in this exciting tour!

Attire:

  • Participants are required to wear covered shoes. Participants may be denied entry if they are dressed inappropriately.
  • Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably for the tour.

What to bring:

  • Participants should bring along an umbrella, hand sanitiser, and a bottle of water.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own e-waste products to the tour. We will learn how we can correctly dispose of them during the tour!
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) as radio guides will be used for the tour.
  • Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.

Please note that:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
  • Photography is allowed at the premises.
  • Parking is not available at the facilities. Kindly park your car near Tuas Crescent MRT.
  • Participants should stay with the group at all times, and are not allowed to wander off alone.
  • The tour will proceed rain or shine.
  • This event is not wheel-chair friendly.
