Code of Conduct
Our Commitment
My Community’s staff and volunteers are expected to uphold the organisation’s vision and mission as well as its guiding principles of Passion, Inclusivity, Collaboration, Accessibility and Sustainability or PICAS.
The organisation is also committed to being honest, transparent and community-centred. It is accountable to various stakeholders such as its community partners, donors, contractors and suppliers.
My Community’s Code of Conduct expands on the collective values and standards which the organisation holds dear and serves as a guide to upright conduct.
People and the Environment
My Community strives to provide a wholesome environment for all staff, volunteers and participants across its various heritage activities. Personnel are also expected to treat everyone with respect, kindness and courtesy to represent the organisation well.
As a heritage organisation promoting preservation and conservation, My Community does its utmost to uphold the sanctity of spaces where activities are conducted.
Finances and Corporate Governance Matters
Donations, government grants and ticket sales from some of the programmes it runs, are the three main sources of My Community’s income.
To help guarantee the tenability of the organisation, My Community’s financial policies are guided by three fundamental principles: sustainability, transparency and scalability. Among other things, regulations and policies have been put in place to ensure that My Community’s activities are financially sustainable. The organisation also publishes its audited financial statements on its website. Where possible, the organisation makes bulk purchases for expendables to reduce costs.
Personal Data
My Community protects the personal data in its possession and under its control by making reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
