Meet your host!

Au Guan Huat (Left)

Hi everyone, My name is Au Guan Huat and I’m part of the warehousing team here at Tai Hua. I joined the company back in 1968 when it was still at Toh Guan Village – And that was before I even enlisted in the army! My dad was actually part of the construction team that built the factory here and he helped me get the job.

What do you do at Tai Hua?

Back then, I was responsible for bottling and production, when everything was done manually – it took a lot of skill to fill those glass bottles in just seconds! Nowadays, things have become a lot easier with the help of all our modern equipment and machines. I’m usually out on the roads or in the warehouse driving lorries or forklifts, making sure deliveries are smooth and everything is well-stocked.

Why have you stayed at Tai Hua for so long?

It’s incredible how much has changed since then, but some things remain the same – we’re still one big family. I used to stay with the family at the factory back at Toh Guan and I made a lot of good memories, having dinner and watching television together after work. We are all good friends – family even! And so I decided to stay.
